We have an opportunity for Sr AdvancedSoftware Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno, where you will perform militaryavionics embedded / application software development.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project planning phase, provide estimates and report status
• Perform embedded / application software (e.g. C, C++, C#, MATLAB): requirements and architecture modification / creation, code modification / creation, test cases, procedures, and scripts modification / creation, tests execution, documentation creation, certification, development / test environment setup
• Ensure assigned technical tasks are completed on-time and within given requirements
• Actively identify new technological opportunities that will help achieve incremental or step change improvements

Key skills and qualifications

• Master's degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 8+ years professional experience with embedded / application software development (e.g. C, C++, C#, MATLAB) development and design / test automation
• Knowledge of Linux and development in Linux environment
• Excellent command of English language
• Anything of the below is an advantage: commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B, software design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python), software configuration management tools (e.g. ClearCase, SVN, Git), requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS), change management tools (e.g. ClearQuest), test management tools (e.g. TestLink)
