Location: Aerospace Unit 328 Waterford
Hours: Monday - Friday 39hours p/w weekly rotation of 0600-1400 then 1400-2200 with an extra hour off on Fridays

Key Responsibilities:
The Apprentice Electrician opportunity aids the Operations Department by working alongside a trained electrician maintaining, who will mentor and guide you in repairing automated manufacturing equipment.
This includes preventative maintenance of critical equipment focusing on electrical and electronic systems. You'll be fault-finding, diagnosing manufacturing equipment, and providing repairs to maximising machine uptime to meet our customer requirements.
• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Assist in the installation of electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
• Learn to use hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Continuously learn and develop new skills in the electrical trade.
You will be enrolled on the SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship program and gain the following nationally recognised qualification: A National Craft Certificate from the Department of Education & Science

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) with a minimum of grade D in 5 subjects

• Live within a commutable distance of our Waterford site
