As a Technical Writer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement documentation standards, processes, and best practices. Your expertise in technical writing principles, style guides, and industry standards will ensure consistency and adherence to quality guidelines. You will also review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. You will report directly to our 1 and you'll work out of our Ontario, Canada location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact documentation quality, team performance, cross-functional collaboration, process efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development of high-quality technical documentation for complex products and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret technical information to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Develop and implement documentation standards, processes, and best practices
  • Review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical writers
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technical writing tools and methodologies

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in technical writing, preferably in a principal or senior role
  • Strong knowledge of technical writing principles, style guides, and documentation standards
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience in leading and mentoring technical writing teams

WE VALUE

  • Master's degree in Technical Communication or a related field (preferred)
