Operations, Maintenance & Repairs

  • Operates the units as prescribed by the Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Perform maintenance activities (preventative/breakdown- e.g., oil top up, oil replacement, greasing, alignment and overhaul on machinery equipment) of the hydrogen refueling station(s) to ensure the highest availability and reliability of the equipment.
  • Monitor & evaluate machinery condition and performance during the refueling and/or preventative maintenance activities (i.e., vibration check, temperature check, sound check, leak checks, etc.…). Communicate proactively of any abnormality and consult with the global Operations Excellence team for timely troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Lead/support investigations and Root Cause Analysis to identify & implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Implement, and manage a comprehensive risk-based inspection and calibration program for all machinery & equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the refueling stations and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with all Critical Safety Circuits (CSS), Safety Integrity Levels (SIL), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) implementation and revalidation programs.
  • Ensure proper care of the maintenance tools and manage inventory of spares.
  • Implement, and manage a comprehensive Machinery & equipment risk-based maintenance plan. Collect data and provide input to anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact the operations of the equipment.
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Recording and documenting station’s equipment data (including equipment parameters, fueling operations data, scheduled maintenance, and repairs)
  • Spare Parts control, and ordering
  • Compressor Maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Electrical controls and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Point of Sale system maintenance
  • Instrument air system maintenance and repair
  • Contractor supervision

  • Establish & maintain relationships with AP Global Machinery Engineering & Air Products Operations Excellence team. Replicate best practice from other regions.

VII. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in mechanical engineering with minimum 2 years’ experience on mechanical and machinery related work. Safety conscious Self-motivated, fast learner and ability to work independently. Possess a good operations & mechanical aptitude: Has demonstrated “hands-on” ability to troubleshoot, and repair various plant Operations & Machinery equipment. Has demonstrated and practiced safe handling of tools including power tools typically and commonly used for installation and maintenance tasks. Experience with welding and brazing is a plus. Has demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layout, piping drawings and electrical controls schematics. Exposure to maintaining pneumatic systems, pumps, pressure vessels, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors is preferred. Experience in process controls, PLC and instrumentation maintenance/troubleshooting is a plus. Experience and knowledge in the safety, operations, and maintenance of Hydrogen Transfill stations or similar is a plus.
