This position reports to
R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the the software department of medium voltage drives at ABB in Turgi, Aargau, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Motion division. You will be mainly accountable for: • Develop a concept • Evaluate different solutions, e.g. ASP.NET Core Blazor in C# • Interact with possible users • Version control with git • Write unit tests and automated GUI tests • Integrate the tests in the continuous integration with Jenkins • Write internal software documentation and end-user documentation

Qualifications for the role
- You have experience with Python, Java or another programming language
- You are at ease communicating in English
- Experience with Git is an asset
- Experience with VS code is an asset
- Experience with C++ is an asset
- You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
