ACTIVITIES

The Taïwan LNG department handles the following main assignments:
  1. Establish and maintain intensive and regular contact with all existing and potential LNG players in Taïwan
  2. Identify opportunities for new contracts and discuss strategy and approach with the marketing entities of the LNG Business Units in charge (LT Marketing and/or Trading)
  3. Convey to buyers and other commercial parties a coherent message as to the Company's LNG strategic objectives
  4. Support the marketing entities in their negotiations with the potential buyers. Follow up contacts and assist the negotiation teams as necessary
  5. Maintain close coordination with the LNG sales units of the Company's upstream subsidiaries in Asia to ensure consistency of the actions undertaken, and to assist them as necessary

The REN department handles the following assignments:

For solar activites

- Look for opportunities in large scale solar and solar DG

- Monitor the evolution of the energy market in Taiwan in order to identify business opportunities

- Maintain relations with the major energy utilities, traders and external stakeholders

Veile on H2 and CO2 market as well as Taiwan road to net Zero Policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED

At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in Taiwan's energy sector.
- Following experience, skills & competencies will be valued:
  • Strong knowledge and network in the local Energy industry
  • Track record of leading energy projects in Taiwan
  • Track record of leading the negotiations, execution and closing of energy contracts
  • Track record of implementing strategic partnerships to develop business opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of Taiwan energy regulations
  • Economics and project finance
  • Coordination with external advisors (e.g. law firms, accounting and tax, lenders, technical, compliance, HSE advisors)
  • Understanding on corporate environment and presentations to executive management.
  • International experience

- Bachelor or Master degree (Engineering, Business or law) or MBA

- Engineering, Business or Law degree

- Taiwan national / fluent English communication skills / French skills considered a plus
