The Smart Energy Management team is driving the data-driven energy transition for Deutsche Telekom - one of the largest electricity consumers in Germany. The focus is on the intelligent linkage of the large energy procurement volume and consumption profile, including energy storage and self-generation, as well as energy efficiency. The goal is to align ecology and economy in the implementation of the energy transition.

Your Tasks

Whether it's a compulsory or voluntary internship - as a flexikant (m/f/d) you will benefit in any case from an attractive remuneration and flexible working hours. You will support the team with the following responsible tasks:

• Work on innovative data science projects focused on energy sector solutions, including the development and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Utilize Python for data analysis, process automation, and model development
• Work with the optimization tool Pyomo for energy management solutions
• Apply AI techniques for forecasting load and renewable energy generation

Your Profile

You are studying (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable degree program or are in your gap year. In addition you have the following knowledge and skills:

• Proficient in Python programming for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning
• Experience with Pyomo for optimization tasks
• Basic understanding of AI for predictive modeling and neural networks
• Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong English skills (B2+)
• Independent, structured, and responsible work style
