For our clients, we are searching for an experienced Barge Masters who are available for the coming months onboard one of their backhoe dredgers, grab dredgers or flattop barges. Interested and available to show your skills to this major player in dredging industry?
Function description
As a Barge Master, your responsibilities include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the barge, adhering to regulations and company policies. You'll oversee maintenance and compliance, manage crew awareness of risks, and issue clear orders. Conduct safety reviews, supervise operations, and coordinate movements. Promote safety practices and environmental protection, and handle emergencies decisively. Ensure compliance with regulations and support various management plans. Be prepared for tasks beyond standard duties based on operational requirements.

Requirements
- A valid Master Mariner class-1- II/2-STCW 78/95 unlimited COC
- Personal Survival, STCW & GMDSS Operator Qualification
- Relevant experience as a barge master
