Your role and responsibilities
• Design and architect a cohesive software and system ecosystem that integrates an IDE, a runtime environment for industrial real-time equipment, and a digital platform. • Work closely with product teams (both Hardware and Software) to ensure the seamless integration of all components, enhancing the overall user experience and system performance. • Define and enforce best practices in software architecture and design, firmware development, and system architecture to ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, security, scalability, and maintainability are achieved • Utilize scaled agile methodologies to facilitate collaborative and efficient team working environments, ensuring timely delivery of integrated solutions. • Engage with stakeholders across different domains to gather and validate requirements, ensuring the software ecosystem meets diverse needs. • Lead technology decision-making processes within each product and across the entire product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and technology standards • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies that could benefit the ecosystem, driving continuous innovation and improvement.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field
- 15-20 years of experience in software architecture, system design, system architecture, embedded software development, along with a deep understanding of IDEs, runtime environments, and digital platforms
- Proven ability in integrating complex software products into cohesive ecosystems, with a focus on user experience and performance optimization
- Strong background in industrial automation, machine building or manufacturing industry, with hands-on technical experience in developing the required system / software architectures for building modern automation solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and convincing stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Familiarity with modern software development tools, languages, and frameworks, with a commitment to staying informed about industry trends and innovations
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English; German language skills will be a clear advantage
