Your Tasks:
- You support and execute the BU New Business Areas' Venture Capital and Independent Energy Infrastructure strategy.
- You create impact for the WEPA Group through successful startup investments and startup collaborations. In addition, you will be involved in the development of renewable energy asset projects and investments.
- You screen, analyze and manage the whole lifecycle of a startup and renewable energy investment opportunity including overall responsibility on the deal flow funnel management.
- You prepare and consolidate Due Diligence materials and will be responsible for state of the art investment memorandums for the final investment decisions.
- You will be strongly involved in managing and developing our Venture Capital and renewable energy portfolio.
Your Profile:
- Qualification: You have a relevant university degree, e.g. in industrial engineering, renewable energies, or economics with focus in finance or strategy.
- Experience and Know-How: You enjoy the complexity of looking across sectors, understanding market sizes, market opportunities, and market timing while simultaneously making fast decisions in relevant topics. Additionally, you have a first understanding of the renewable energy space. You thrive in fast moving environments and you are able to adapt quickly. You have a good understanding of technical requirements and a first understanding of regulatory boundaries and frameworks.
- Personality: You are a strong networker and relationship builder with excellent communication skills. You are an analytical and conceptual strategic thinker with execution mindset. Additionally, you are a fast learner with entrepreneurial driven and strong business sense to seek opportunities.
- Working Style: You thrive in both independent and team-oriented work settings. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, sense of initiative and a strong problem-solving approach. You are project management oriented and capable of not losing the big picture view. You are able to balance an inner drive to deeply understand something with speed.
- Languages: Fluent English is essential and good German skills are preferred.
