Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Mission Responsible for sales of EL Distribution Solution Division (ELDS), within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues, and identify and develop sales opportunities. Role 1. Account strategies Participates in the development of sales strategies for the account by providing the customer's current business and long-term plans. 2. Sales Targets Defines and proposes revenues and gross margin targets for the account and ensure the achievement with a structured follow up process. 3. Account plan Lead the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Proposes recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls. 4. Customer Relations Plans the strategy to establish and develop account relationships. Acts as focal point for problem resolution and monitors the Customer Claims. Plans, facilitates and conducts customer negotiations. 5. Customer Knowledge Develops, maintains and shares detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition. 6. Volume and Profit Sells products and/or solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Division. Promotes Frame Agreement with the customer. 7. Market Activity Monitors competitors' activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented. 8. Sales Ensures the successful outcome of sales transactions, contracts and proposals. Communicates details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions). 9. Marketing Coordinates the use of internal or external resources (e.g., technical, advertising, and marketing) in order to provide value added services to accounts. Clarify and solve barriers to sell Service portfolio in Japanese market with internal resources. 10. Administration Enters all relevant sales data into appropriate databases systems.

Qualifications for the role

  • Work experience and knowledge
  • Bachelor of degree (Marketing and management or related course is preferable)
  • Preferred Market knowledge / key customer management.
  • Preferred Knowledge on electrical product business
  • At least 3+year sales specialist experience
  • Experience in direct communication with Japanese industrial customers.
  • Experienced user of MS Office.
  • Language Skills
  • Japanese proficiency both in written and oral (native level)
