The Commercial Equipment Sales Representative plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, developing relationships with potential clients, maintaining existing customer relationships, growing market share for commercial HVAC equipment, and achieving sales goals developed in collaboration with the Commercial Sales Manager.

This position requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of HVAC systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Outside sales reps receive a base salary plus commission!

The Commercial Equipment Sales Representative plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, developing relationships with potential clients, maintaining existing customer relationships, growing market share for commercial HVAC equipment, and achieving sales goals developed in collaboration with the Commercial Sales Manager.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify and research potential clients in the target market. Utilize various methods such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions and recommendations.
- Provide Product Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of HVAC equipment and educate clients on the advantages of various products that meet their specific requirements.
- Prepare and Present Proposals: Prepare sales proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of each client.
- Negotiate Sales Contracts: Negotiate terms and conditions of sales contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Work closely with clients to finalize agreements and secure orders.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Coordinate with internal departments such as estimating, engineering, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth execution of sales orders. Communicate client requirements and provide necessary support to meet customer expectations.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities. Continuously update knowledge of HVAC technology advancements and industry best practices. Attend and participate in industry events and meetings as a representative of the company.
- Meet Sales Targets: Set and achieve sales targets and objectives within designated territories. Develop strategies to maximize sales opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Participate in sales meetings and furnish requisite weekly and monthly reports.
- Communicate customer or industry concerns and issues to leadership.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Four-year degree, or related experience in the HVAC field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in HVAC equipment sales or a similar technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Experience in Buy Boards, Co-Ops, School Districts, Hospitality and Commercial new construction is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Prophet21 a plus.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
