Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Material Coordinator to join our Gas sector. The material coordinator manages material requirements and existing inventory for Pipeline Integrity. This very detailed position requires all materials to be physically and electronically recorded and maintained.

Work Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the Ontario office
Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Material Coordinator to join our Gas sector. The material coordinator manages material requirements and existing inventory for Pipeline Integrity. This very detailed position requires all materials to be physically and electronically recorded and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Proactively seeks status on deliveries from suppliers/vendors and expedites QC-QA inspection as needed.
- Coordinates delivery and pick-up with Material Handlers.
- Coordinates with the Project Manager to ensure material requirements are staged.
- Arranges trucking to ship material to the project site or laydown yard, or a pipeline contractor coordinates trucking.
- Effectively communicates with the planning project manager and/or project advisor, informing them of their material requirements.
- Provides oral and written communication to Project Material Coordinators and Project Managers to keep them abreast of their material-related requests.
- Uploads material traceability documentation to the department's SharePoint site for access by the High-Pressure Closeout Team during the reconciliation process.
- Utilizes SAP to research and advise vendors of status.
- Works with Project & Construction Managers and/or reconciliation advisors to assist with any questions/clarification related to material/reconciliation.
- Provides material workbook updates, material transfers, and material traceability, including heat numbers, PO numbers, and delivery/receipt dates.
- Coordinates all returns for "coded material".
- Coordinates the "Inventory Conversion" process for all "ECM purchased" material.
Qualifications
- 1 year of material coordinator experience required
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams required
- Advanced proficiency using SAP highly preferred
- Knowledge of high-pressure pipeline construction material (steel pipe, valves, fittings) and associated Material Traceability requirements
- Knowledge of Company's Material Specifications (MSPs), Approved Manufacturers (AMs), and Gas Standards
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work with minimal supervision, and handle multiple demands
- Excellent organizational, record-keeping, attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze complex data
- Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with employees at all levels effectively
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, work ethic, versatility, perform with minimal supervision and manage stress effectively
