JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for Civil Supervisor to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq on a 6/1 rotation cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Good experience with a lot of different types of civil foundations.
• Tank site fabrication experience would be desirable.
• Good knowledge of international standards for construction
• Good knowledge of structural installations- large warehouses/piperacks/shelters
• Good understanding of the requirements for concrete pouring and testing requirements based on oil and gas procedures.
• Can read and interpret all civil and construction drawings effectively.
• Have good experience with steel structure material, fit up and welding , and installation using cranes and heavy equipment.
• Planning knowledge and experience-able to work with contractor to identify scheduling, material and resourcing issues.
• Confident in managing contractors with some contractual knowledge.
• Experience working with quality management systems and procedures.
• Can review and approve method statements and other contractor documents.
• Experience or general knowledge of working with systems completions (MC walkdowns/punchlist closure).
• Physically fit and can work under pressure safely.
• Some shutdown planning and execution experience.
• Lock out tag out (LOTO) experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HND or home country equivalent:
• Extensive site construction experience, with at least 5 years brown field experience working in oil and gas around live equipment.
• Middle East experience and knowledge of Arabic culture preferable
• Experience in Brown and Greenfield construction projects
• Applicants MUST have a Basra residency card.
