About the job:
Working in the PMC Project Management Team for a Portfolio of Energy Transition Projects to be based in Vienna, Austria.
Skills & Responsibilities:
• Champion the assigned Project Safety culture, through behaviours and engagement activities.
• Ensuring the PMC Contract is managed and delivered to OMV technical satisfaction.
• To provide the overall PMC Engineering services ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Plan, HSSE Plan, and Project Execution Plan for the assigned Projects under the OMV PMC Services Contract.
• Functional management ensuring systems are in place to manage holidays, expenses, training and performance evaluation for Engineering resources.
• Reputation management ensuring Kent PMC are recognised as a competent and professional organisation with the resources and systems to effectively provide Project Management Consultancy services for OMV.
• Ensure that all Engineering personnel are aware of their obligations under the PMC Contract.
• Identifying areas of concern with respect to progress of the assigned Project, recommending corrective actions wherever required and executing when directed by OMV.
• Leading and participating in value Engineering workshops for optimizing scope and design.
• Participate in key reviews for the assigned Project and meetings with FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) as required.
• Participate in Project Management Plan reviews.
• Update and prepare Project procedures and work practices as appropriate.
• Provide notification of any potential commercial risk or opportunity to the PMT management Project for further action.
• Develop a good team spirit within PMT Engineering personnel and encourage team working with the FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and other OMV functional groups.
• Provide Engineering input into PMT forums, discussion groups, new initiatives etc. as required.
• Participate in the development of Kent initiatives and procedures.
• Participate as part of the PMT developing initiatives and applying effective Engineering and services management for the assigned Project.
• Regularly review and assist in the updating of the PMC Procedures and Standards.
• Lead Technical Safety audits on FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) for the assigned Project.
• Manage the interface of PMT TA3's with OMV TA2's and resolve any difficulties or non-alignment.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
• B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent with master's degree preferable.
• Sufficient experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.
• Able to make decisions and solve problems related to a specific discipline/field.
• Responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor.
• Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time.
• Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice.
Communication:
• Team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional communication skills -Able to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.
Behaviour/ Core Competencies:
• Demonstrated experience in working in an Oil and Gas or Energy Company in an Engineering Management role.
• Knowledgeable of Oil and Gas Project Execution, Engineering Management, and Project drivers.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of disciplines in a FEED/EPCM Project Execution setting.
• Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize competing tasks.
