Job Description
As the US Welfare Benefits Leader, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing welfare benefit programs across the United States for employees and retirees. You will also lead the company's US leave programs and be the primary benefits contact for mergers and acquisition activity. You will be dedicated to enhancing our offerings, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals, meet the diverse needs of our employees, and comply with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in benefits design, a strong understanding of compliance, and a commitment to enhancing plans and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic vision for US welfare and voluntary benefits that supports the company's overall mission and employee value proposition. Benefits Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day administration of all US welfare and voluntary benefits and leave programs. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure programs comply with applicable laws and regulations. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and collaborate with legal counsel to update programs accordingly. Vendor Management: Manage the proposal process and ongoing relationships with benefit plan vendors, consultants, and brokers. Employee Communication and Education: Collaborate on communication strategies to educate employees and retirees about available benefits and enrollment procedures. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the welfare and voluntary benefits budget, ensuring expenditures are within budgetary guidelines and aligned with financial forecasts. Benefits Administration Technology: Partner with operations and data technology teams to optimize benefits administration systems and tools, ensuring a seamless employee experience and efficient operations. Employee Engagement Initiatives: Collaborate with HR and other departments to develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through benefits offerings. Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor benefits professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Mergers & Acquisitions: Serve as the lead benefits contact for M&A activity.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of US benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience developing and implementing benefits strategies that support organizational goals and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future trends and proactively adjust benefits programs accordingly.
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification preferred.
