Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace's Inspection Engineering Interns gain broad exposure to the use of state-of-the-art inspection technologies in a manufacturing environment. With our intern program, students will have the opportunity combine hands-on experience with the inspection equipment and data analytics used to manufacture the next generation of aircraft engine components. Ultimately, you'll be placed for the summer taking your preferences into account while also considering your major, year of schooling, and business needs the time.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspection Engineering roles at GE Aviation involve leveraging state-of-the-art inspection technology to ensure that manufactured components meet all dimensional and material quality requirements. The successful candidates will work with GE Aerospace engineers to implement nondestructive testing (NDT) methods such as x-ray computed tomography, phased array ultrasound, and infrared thermography to validate material quality and 3D non-contact metrology methods such as structured light and optical tomography in a manufacturing environment. Projects span the entire inspection process from inspection design through data collection to digital image analysis and reporting.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (without rounding)
- Meet required degree of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Computer Engineering and Engineering, Computer Science or related major.
- Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program.
- Completed one full year of college (rising sophomore)
- Reliable transportation
- Willing and available to work at one of the following locations: Evendale, OH; Springdale, OH; West Chester, OH
