JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY

• Produce parts as per the provided drawings and programs.
• Inspect and verify that each part is machined as per the provided specifications.
• Follow all the guidelines and instructions provided by the direct manager (supervisor or team leader).
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment. Follow all NOV safety rules.
• Programs mills/lathes, entering instructions (including zero and reference points, setting tool registers/offsets and proving part programs.
• Setup mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three/four-jaw chucks, tools and fixtures.
• Verify all required gauges are readily available as per the drawing requirement with valid calibration records.
• Raise maintenance requests as required.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities as needed.
• Complete production and quality records for each individual job.
• Raise non-conformity reports and inform the direct manager as per procedures.
• Communicate new developments and process improvement plans with the related team and direct manager.
• Follow other instructions assigned by the direct manager.
• Observe and ensure compliance with all Health/Safety/Environmental (HSE) regulations. Encourage safe working practices. Correct obvious hazards immediately and report them to the proper personnel.
• Sustain 5S and lean process as per company/departmental requirements.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or vocational training
• 1+ years of experience
