Function description

At iPS Powerful People, we are always on the lookout for talented professionals to join our pool for future offshore projects. While we do not have a specific job opening at the moment, we are proactively building a pool of qualified candidates who are ready to mobilize quickly for upcoming opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime laws and regulations.
• Operate and manage the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain the vessel's position and stability.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the DP system to ensure its reliability and accuracy.
• Manage DP operations during critical tasks such as drilling, construction, or diving support.
• Ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Supervise and manage the deck crew, assigning tasks and overseeing their performance.
• Coordinate with the engineering department to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Valid Chief Officer License or equivalent.
• Valid Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) Certificate.
• Extensive experience in offshore operations, with several years in a senior officer position.
• Proven experience with Dynamic Positioning systems and offshore operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting DP systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
