Job Summary
If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! Our development organization has transformed into a Scaled Agile environment and is seeking a Scrum Master professional. In this position, you will be working in conjunction with 1-2 Agile teams and a team of Product Managers within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)-based organization aimed at delivering best-in-class process automation products built across web, cloud, PC, and embedded platforms integrated with internally developed devices.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
  • Effectively driving the team to perform at an optimal level towards meeting goals and commitments to delivering value
  • Removing impediments, and bringing up issues the team cannot resolve to the appropriate level and working with them to find solutions
  • Driving towards continuously improving team performance
  • Directing the team in driving Lean-Agile cadence practices (sprint planning, reviews, refinement, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Ensuring the team lives by Lean-Agile values and principles
  • Coordinating with the Release Train Leader and the other Scrum Leaders via the Scrum of Scrums and other meetings
  • Developing the team metrics, driving corrective actions, and communicating progress to stakeholders
  • Helping the group in any other way they can to meet their objectives.
  • Coordinating with development, testing, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure a smooth release process.
  • Identifying and managing the resolution of issues and risks that may arise during the release process.
  • Leading the group in developing strategies to mitigate or avoid identified risks and creating backup plans to address unexpected issues
  • Implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of future sprints, PIs, releases

For this Role You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or any related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master for one or more Scrum teams implementing Scrum or Scrum within a SAFe context.
  • 4+ years of experience working with or within a technology division, with exposure to software product development.
  • Proven understanding and capability to address challenges commonly faced in a scaled Agile context
  • Excellent skills in engaging, facilitating, assessing, understanding, and navigating team dynamics toward building and maintaining a high-performance team
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to a range of audiences
  • Able to define and refine processes as well as lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Thorough, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Willing to take action, with a high degree of adaptability and managerial courage
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Experience working within the development groups of a team implementing the SAFe Framework
  • Experience in the development of solutions integrating software development on multiple platforms and proprietary hardware development
  • Experience in the development of process control systems, avionics, or other near-real-time information control systems
  • Experience participating in or leading an Agile transformation for a development organization of more than 50 developers, especially in the role of Scrum Master
  • Experience with ISO-certified processes and audits, Secure Lifecycle Development, and/or development of products for use in a SIL environment
