Requirement: Site Manager (Gas transmissions)
Location: Cambridgeshire
Rate: £450 - £500 / day
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of pipeline construction projects that span across regions, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth execution of works. Ensure that contractual obligations are met, including key performance indicators (KPIs) on quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, especially relevant standards like CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations) and Pipeline Safety Regulations (PSR).
Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Ensure all personnel adhere to Permit to Work (PTW) systems and other industry-specific safety procedures.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
Conduct regular site meetings to provide updates, address issues, and manage expectations across the project lifecycle.
Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication between different teams, including civil, mechanical, and environmental engineers.
Planning and Logistics:
Plan and manage the installation of cross-country pipelines, considering factors such as terrain, environmental impact, and accessibility. Oversee and manage the delivery of materials, machinery, and equipment to the site, ensuring minimal disruptions to the project flow.
Implement strategies for efficient resource allocation to prevent delays
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all UK laws governing pipeline installation, including environmental regulations, landowner agreements, and planning permissions.

- Steel Pipework experience essential
- Previous experience of working with CADENT
