Airswift is seeking for Site Lifting Specialist to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering and construction
- Safety: Complete all necessary Safety trainings (IF+, HSE Golden Rules, etc.) in a timely manner. Maintain and enforce local, international, and Company safety standards for all lifting activities. Proactively engage (stop work) in unsafe activities and create positive/negative observation cards. Lead CTR to develop proper generic and specific JSA for non-critical and critical lifting and attend TBM (Tool Box Meeting) for critical lifting operation. Make sure works in the danger zone to be prohibited during all the lifting activities.
- Technical Tasks: Review all documents (Lifting plan, Lifting procedure, Criticality assessment, lifting calculations, etc.) related to lifting operation. Ensure CTR submits all necessary deliverables/documents in a timely manner. Lead CTR's CPLO (Competent Person in Lifting Operation) to act as a reference for all topics related to lifting and perform periodic reviews and inspections of lifting activities.
- Personnel Competency Assurance: Lead CTR to ensure that all personnel involved in rigging, slinging, and lifting operations are properly trained and qualified for the activities to be performed. Make sure all the operators to be certified as per local regulations. Review CPT's training plans
- Inspection: Ensure CTR's lifting equipment and rigging to be provided with certificate and to be periodic inspected and tested by competent persons and/or Third Party Certifying Agency in compliance with CPY Standard and contractual requirements. Carry out inspections for verifying conditions precedent of lifting equipment before start the use.
- Problem Solving: for lifting issues, cooperate with CTR to find out most efficient technical solutions and report it to Construction Head. For further complicated issues related to lifting, assist Construction Head in dealing with them.
- Meeting and Reporting: Participate in irregular/regular meetings with CTR to make sure all topics associated with lifting operation to be dealt with in a proper and timely manner. Make himself available for attending any meetings required by Construction Head and Package manger. Report on any lifting issues to Construction head and write down Weekly Report.
- Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level.
- Familiar with General Specifications, relevant codes(AISC,API,ASME,ASW,ISO)
- Following OPITO certifications mandatory:
- LCP (LOLER Competent Person)
- Banksman Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4
- Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4
- Rigging Loft Management
- NSL LEI-6 Lifting Equipment Inspection
