Airswift is seeking a Business Support Analyst to work with one of our clients in the oil and gas industry in Fort McMurray, AB on a 12-month contract.
The Business Support Analyst position works independently to manage and report on the cost-related PO's in the Regional Services Team for the Athabasca Region. This includes ensuring that complex costs are assigned properly to ACC identified, accounted for in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with the company's established business practices and procedures
Specific Accountabilities
• Collecting information for project cost estimates, establishing PO's, on-going monitoring and control of PO's, commitments, incurred costs, and PO forecasting and management.
• Vendor support and Invoice troubleshooting
• Ensure that Company-sanctioned cost control processes are applied in the execution of their project activities.
• Assign priorities to complex, multiple, competing projects by effectively prioritizing work activities. Establish and adjust priorities based on the department's objectives and the company's strategic plan.
• Work closely with Regional Services department and liaise with other project stakeholders for all PO's in the area.
• Closely coordinate with the Regional Services to maintain and ensure cost and PO management.
• Prepare reports and presentations for and provide support to team members and stakeholders regarding the cost status of their respective ACC and PO budgets.
• Review policies and procedures and recommend improved processes for project cost management
Scope/Dimensions
• Assist in the development and implementation Purchase Orders, Master Service Agreements andsupplier/vendor set up as required
• Support monthly financial reporting generation and review
• Impacts can extend to the multiple work units as well as to internal stakeholders (e.g., support departments) andexternal stakeholders (e.g., vendors and customers)
• Decision making is guided by standardized practices, existing processes and professional judgement
Contacts (Working Relationships)
• Direct coordination daily with Regional Services Team Members
• Managers/Supervisors, Regional Services
• Staff throughout various internal departments, Operations Engineering, working groups, Operations Services and Supply Chain Management
• Support to area administrative staff as needed
