This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Generations of Monetta Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF), 77 Cato Road, Monetta, SC 29105
This is a TEMPORARY, HOURLY PAID position.
As the Direct Support professional II, working under general supervision of the House Administrator, you will assist in the therapeutic care to residents of the CRCF operated by DMH CRCF Services. Works cooperatively with other Direct Support Professional I's and II's. Assists and instructs residents in needs of daily living, i.e. cooking, cleaning, budget planning etc. Assists treatment team in therapeutic and rehabilitative activities.
Responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional II include but are not limited to:
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate degree and one year of experience in direct support of persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Comments
In this position, you must have the ability to work in a residential facility, and have the ability to work rotational shifts. A valid driver's license and ability to drive a state vehicle is required. Must participate in group activities and communicate effectively, both orally and in-writing.

- Provides direct care attention to residents and serves as a role model in order to assist residents with their development of skills necessary to transition successfully and function more independently. Observes and records resident's behavior in accordance with program requirements and documents their attendance. Services will be in compliance with SCDMH, DHHS, DHEC, QA, and Corporate Compliance standards.
- Assists residents in medication administration and compliance.
- Assists and coordinates transportation of resident to medical appointments and ensures documentation of appointment(s) is provided to CRCF. Assists and coordinates special activities and routine outing transportation.
- Performs cleaning duties, to include but not limited to, sweeping/mopping, cleaning of kitchen and bathrooms, dusting, etc. Cooks residents' meals.
