Key Responsibilities:
- Import, cleanse, validate, and analyze large datasets from various sources relevant to the Oil and Gas sector.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through robust validation processes.
- Consolidate and present data in visually engaging formats, such as charts, graphs, and tables, to support business decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate insightful reports to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights related to operational efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support tailored to the Oil and Gas industry.
- Utilize PowerBI for advanced data manipulation and visualization, creating impactful dashboards to communicate findings.
- Manage and execute data queries to support ongoing analysis and reporting efforts.
- Maintain a strong focus on improving data quality and streamlining data processes.
- Travel occasionally for business meetings, training, and collaboration with stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Strong experience with PowerBI as a Power User, demonstrating the ability to create complex dashboards and visuals that inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with data flows, data manipulation, and troubleshooting data issues is essential.
- Previous experience with Alteryx is highly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights in simple terms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in data analysis, such as Microsoft PowerBI Certification, or similar, are a plus.
