Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a function focused on the optimization of the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment. Each day, you will ensure that the production process aligns with the project targets, approves the design, both for internal or external developed processes and performs the final test in accordance with the project's data. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the efficiency of all external production processes. The work model for the role is: onsite (Li-Onsite) This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: • Ensure that the production process aligns with the project targets, approve the design, both for internal or external developed processes and performs the final test in accordance with the project's data. • Ensure all staff understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly. • Define production costs and the sequence of the working phases of a new production process to minimize cost and maximize quality • Support the Supply Chain Management department in selecting suppliers, evaluating the technology and capacity, as well as cooperate with R&D or international teams in the optimization of technical standards and supports engineers in the definition or configuration of new design rules • Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area and adhere to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of directly related experience; Prefer a minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Switchgear process and product knowledge.
