Software Quality Engineer covers the planning and systematic means for assuring that all necessary quality metrics and KPIs are in the predefined targets. The responsibility of the Senior Quality Engineer is that the product is produced to meet all the requirements and that customer satisfaction is on the desired level. Overall, this role must ensure that that defined practices, procedures, and methods of the software process are applied.

Job description:
  • Establishing software quality objectives of the offer and achieving those objectives
  • Quality improvement activities including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem-solving using quality tools
  • Assuring compliance with the project plan, as well as initiating and verifying corrective actions
  • Continuous training of the team to ensure good knowledge about software standards, practices and procedures
  • Working with engineering and other departments to develop control plans and work instructions for new and revised product
  • Preparing and coordinating quality audits, process audits
  • Coordinating preventive and corrective actions
  • Preparing and performing review meetings and make review reports
  • Taking an incremental approach to create and assess compliance information
  • Including compliance teams and their concerns in the product/project development ecosystem to collaborate on planning, executing, assessing, and adapting.
  • Ensuring compliance Inputs to DoD and planning
  • Challenging development teams to achieve Quality goals on time
  • Ensuring that Quality metrics are fulfilled
  • Incorporating compliance in agile quality practices - automating, adapting, continuously improving, etc.
  • Aligning expectations related to SW development lifecycle artifacts with stakeholders.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate measures
  • Continuous training of the development team to ensure good knowledge about software standards, procedures and practices
  • Creating transparency in data though out dashboards aiming status in different HW environments


This role would require a strong experience in embedded development covering the following areas:
  • Experience in embedded software development, preferably in safety- and security-critical environments
  • Knowledge of coding guidelines, secure and safe coding, code reviews, code analysis, and related tools
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Experience with 8D, PPAP and FMEA methodologies
  • Automation of quality metrics


What skills and qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering and Computer Science or equivalent studies
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality role
  • Knowledge about home and automation systems is preferable.
  • Knowledge of SW development including firmware and embedded SW, SW architecture, and testing (covering the whole V-model)
  • Very good understanding of coding rules and SW development/architectural principles
  • Understanding Architecture Models
  • Interpreting and understanding Coding rules and Static code analysis
  • Understanding infrastructure topics
  • Tools knowledge
  • SW Development and Verification experience
  • Root cause analysis
