Weatherford is excited to announce openings for experienced MPD Well Site Supervisors to join our Norwegian Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) team. This role offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a challenging and rewarding environment on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Well Site Supervisor will be a rotator; and is not required to relocate.
Role Summary
The MPD Well Site Supervisor will utilize their expertise across a range of products and services, tailored to their level of knowledge and experience. Entry and intermediate levels will receive direct supervision, while senior roles will lead junior specialists, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend improvements. Senior roles will also support research, plan assignments and act as the key interface with the client at the well site.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), promptly reporting any issues.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe and presentable conditions.
- Monitor and analyse data to recommend services and solutions.
- Plan, prepare, mobilize, execute jobs, and submit all job-related data.
- Test, operate, and maintain tools and equipment as per work instructions.
- Deliver superior service quality to clients and manage inventory and supplies at the well site.
- Follow up on failures with the R&M team, ensuring closure of failure reports.
- Contribute to or lead equipment failure investigations and support Root Cause Analysis reports.
- Oversee, lead, and mentor Field Operation crew members as required by the role level.
- Act as technical advisors to management, interpret data for client representatives, and perform engineering checks.
- Manage the installation of complex equipment and services in the field.
- Uphold corporate governance standards, ensuring compliance with Weatherford's policies and procedures and other relevant industry standards.
- Prioritize quality, health & safety, and environmental protection in all activities, never placing employees, processes, customers, or communities at risk.
- Be familiar with Weatherford's Quality policies and contribute to the compliance and improvement of the Management System.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4-6 years of work experience as a Field Engineer or equivalent.
- Prior experience in MPD.
- Willingness to travel to remote land- and offshore locations and possibly to other countries.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects with a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and project management skills.
- Professional manner with a positive customer service attitude.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Well Control Certification.
- Drilling and Completion experience.
- Onshore and offshore exposure.
- Experience with single-phase/multi-phase hydraulic simulators.
- Experience with project management software and design software like AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in hydraulics, torque & drag analysis, casing design, drill string/BHA design, data analysis, and real-time evaluation models and systems.
