Function description
As a QA/QC professional in the offshore/dredging industry, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all activities related to quality assurance and quality control meet the required standards and specifications. You will be tasked with inspecting, testing, and monitoring various processes, materials, and equipment used in offshore and dredging operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct inspections of offshore structures, equipment, and dredging operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations. Perform quality control checks on materials, including but not limited to, steel structures, pipelines, dredged sediments, and concrete.
- Monitor welding, fabrication, and construction activities to verify adherence to approved procedures and standards.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality control plans to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and visual inspections to identify defects or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions. Document inspection findings, test results, and non-conformances accurately and comprehensively.
- Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality assurance procedures, standards, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes by identifying areas for enhancement and recommending corrective actions.
Requirements
- GWO or Bosiet
- CSWIP (for Welding Inspectors)
- NACE level 2 or 3, FROSIO 2 or 3 (for Coating Inspectors)
- Experience and knowledge in welding, NDT, coating, materials and strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and related standards.
