We are hiring for a well-established commercial contractor in Austin, TX, specializing in new construction projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Med Gas Plumber to join our team. This position is crucial for ensuring the proper installation of medical gas systems in commercial settings.

Job Description:

As a Journeyman Med Gas Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and inspection of medical gas piping systems in commercial new construction projects. The ideal candidate must have a current Journeyman license in Texas and possess extensive experience in commercial new construction.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and certify medical gas systems in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
• Work with a variety of materials, including copper piping, and utilize techniques such as brazing and soldering.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate installation of med gas systems.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems within the overall project.
• Perform inspections and testing to ensure the integrity and safety of the medical gas systems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide leadership and guidance to apprentices and less experienced plumbers as needed.

Requirements:

• Current Journeyman Plumber license in the state of Texas.
• Proven experience in commercial new construction, with a focus on medical gas systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and best practices for med gas installations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Austin, TX (relocation assistance provided).
