Your role and responsibilities
We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the National Sales Director. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of developing and executing innovative sales strategies through motor distribution channels across the western region of Canada. Your mission is to not only meet but exceed sales targets, while consistently delivering value to our customers and driving growth for ABB. You'll focus on expanding market share, maximizing profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction, making a significant impact on both our business and our clients. • Sales Promotion: Drive the sales of ABB Motion products, particularly ABB Motors, in the West-ern Region, enhancing market presence and growth. • Account Planning: Lead the development and implementation of strategic account plans and growth actions, ensuring sales targets are met through effective follow-up processes across divisions and countries. • Customer Solutions: Sell customized products and solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability while representing ABB. • Business Insights: Analyze key business drivers for customers to identify opportunities for ABB, contributing to the development of impactful sales strategies. • Collaborative Approach: Partner with regional sales teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of motor opportunities, particularly in key projects and packaging efforts. • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities, taking appropriate actions to maintain a competitive advantage. • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners to foster long-term collaboration. • Synergy Development: Support collaborations with other ABB business lines, leveraging existing customer relationships for joint pursuits and enhanced business opportunities.

Qualifications for the role
- Proven track record in sales, service sales or strategic business development in the West of Canada. (5 years+).
- Demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
- Good knowledge of the motor industry and motor channel types.
- Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms, salesforce a plus.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel up to 35% within the Western region (Occasional national travel).
- Bachelor's degree/diploma from accredited post-secondary institution, preference towards.
- Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
