JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Senior Civil/Structural Designer (KZ Passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau/Almaty, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
• consequences of error would be identified by company QA and would be confined
• follows company procedures and established standards to prepare engineering deliverables from rough sketches
• utilizes skills in developing graphics utilizing computer design
• responsible for maintaining the standard of drawings produced
• carry out full yellow line checking of Civil/Structural drawings
• training and mentoring of less experienced Designers
• typical work scope for the Civil/Structural group includes: steel pipe-racks, and bridges, access stairs and platforms, buildings, reinforced concrete foundations and below ground structures, earthworks, roads, drainage, and occasional architectural work

QUALIFICATIONS

• bachelor's degree
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
• Be proficient in the use of CAD software
