Global Data Strategy, Governance and Management Manager, Motion Services div

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the data architecture, in ABB Motion Services division (MOSE), ensuring consistency in approach, alignment with enterprise architecture. Also, you will collaborate with business and IS stakeholders in this role. This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB offices in Helsinki (Finland) or Krakow (Poland). The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid You will be accountable for: Design and implement data architecture that aligns with enterprise architecture, business requirements and ensures scalability, reliability and flexibility. Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical models for service data as needed to provide clarity to business stakeholders, architecture and developers. Architect the data part of integration towards other applications to ensure consistent data flow and modularized access to data. Evaluate new tools, technologies and existing data storage platforms to continuously improve the organisation's data landscape and capabilities. Define and validate data access rules, including implementation. Support in initiatives involving installed base data transfer to/from any other application and enforce data guidelines. Data catalog steward for service data (meta data management) Cross division collaboration for data architecture and maintain/participate in forums as needed

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering or relevant field.
• 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years experience in Data Architecture, preferably the majority of experience in a large organization.
• Extensive experience in database management systems and proficiency in data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical and physical).
• Experience with cloud based data solutions and modern data infrastructure and knowledge of modern data architectures and platforms.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, data flows, data integration and related concepts.
• Certification in data architecture or a related discipline (CDMP, Azure Data Engineer or similar) is considered as a plus.
• Excellent collaboration skills, clear expression of thoughts, ability to create clear direction and documentation as and when needed.
• Excellent problem solving skills, self motivated and able to work independently when needed.
• Professional communication skills in oral and written English.
