JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a National Procurement Representative to join the team in Equatorial Guinea.
Note: the position is open to Equatorial Guinean nationals only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes spend data, tracking year over-year costs, and forecasting commodity and service pricing
  • Prepares and executes routine bid packages
  • Communicates with business unit to understand operational requirements for materials and services
  • Conducts vendor pricing and commercial contract negotiations for common materials and services
  • Receives and evaluates supplier proposals, and participates in the review and awards process
  • Identifies, establishes and tracks supplier KPIs to maximize business efficiencies
  • Negotiates pricing with suppliers to deliver businesses requirements at the lowest total cost of ownership
  • Issues Purchase Orders for equipment, materials and services
  • Identify opportunity to utilize existing inventory in lieu of procuring additional materials
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, work with suppliers to improve performance, deliver value for and also work with the team on tenders and negotiations
  • Assist with the review of policies, procedures and working practices and implement process improvements within the Supply Chain team
  • Assist with project and resourcing plans, provide supply chain and procurement collateral, risk identification and ensure risks are identified and mitigated feeding into internal governance reviews
  • Reviews, including due-diligence and SLAs for new and existing suppliers, including referred suppliers
  • Ensure that the purchasing function complies with internal systems and controls and the regular auditing of the purchasing function
  • Supplier engagement through the bid cycle and the negotiation and execution of all associated contractual and commercial activities, including specific flow-down terms and management of all associated risk
  • Assist with the development and implementation of procurement strategies and commercial negotiations with suppliers to establish robust governance frameworks for the performance & relationship management of the supplier landscape


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain or similar background
  • Similar experience working with suppliers, managing proposals/contracts
  • Knowledge and experience in purchase orders and pricing
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good data analysis
