Job Purpose
Acts as an oil spill response subject matter expert and provides specialised technical expertise across the entire value chain of the Oil Spill Response in ADNOC, from response operations to contractor management to promote continual improvement and excellence in oil spill preparedness and response within ADNOC.
Key Accountabilities
• Act as an SME in research, collation and benchmarking of international Oil Spill Response regulations, quality standards and best practice to establish a comprehensive knowledge repository.
• Advises on the implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all areas of the Oil Spill Response functions.
• Supports the planning and execution of external Oil Spill Response Exercises.
• Provides expertise on numerous Oil Spill Response technical aspects such as the choice of equipment, materials, and sub-contractors.
• Reviews as an SME the OS & HNS assets, Oil Spill Response Plans and highlights and recommends any potential improvement areas.
• Provides specialist knowledge and guidance on contractual requirements including terms and conditions.
• Carries out customer satisfaction surveys with Companies to provide a feedback on services and recommendations for continual improvement.
• Advises on the distribution of Oil Spill Response & HNS resources in line with the response plans to align with the identified risks as well as manage cost effectively and ensures that informed and well- planned purchasing and utilization decisions are made.
• Identifies Oil Spill Response improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with standards.
• Conduct and / or Participates in internal Audits as OS & HNS SME.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Represents the company with various national forums, committees, and Governmental Entities for Emergency Response matters to ensure seamless coordination and capitalisation of efforts (if requested).
• Advices on Capex & Opex of various equipment (equipment, including services) for the contractor and ADNOC Group Companies to make sure that all operational requirements are properly assessed and sourced in a cost-effective way.
Emergency Response
• Plays assigned role within the Group Crisis Team or as required by the VP, ER&CM during emergencies to effectively manage OS & HNS response.
• Provides the required support to the OS & HNS response Duty Manager to ensure awareness and alignment with the corporate requirements and incident objectives.
Minimum Requirement
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in Oil Spill & HNS Response field.
Professional Certifications
• Internal Auditor 45001
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent.
• OPRC OSR Level 2 & 3
• ICS 100, 200 & 300
