Industrial Automation expert with strong knowledge of the target application and to be an expert in this field by Schneider Electric customers & internally.

This includes engineering of systems used at End User. Specific tasks may include consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements, configuring and commissioning machines, programming / configuration PLC and HMI interfaces strong knowledge on Communication Protocol, designing application for HMI software platform taking in consideration Industry 4.0, troubleshooting and training for commissioned systems.

Pre-sales technical support to sales forces

Conversion L1/L2 Projects Following Up: new customers (all channels),

new machines in the existing customers, large EU/SI projects (new construction, retrofit)

Expand HMI Technical Expertise in Proface sales and SE sales

handholding Strategic Partners (via Technical presentations)

1. Provides phone/Internet assistance and/or service for Schneider Electric channel partners and customers concerning hardware, firmware, software, interfaces, configuration and applications

2. Provides on-site customer and channel partner support including training or service of Schneider Electric HMI products at customer or channel partner locations including product seminars and updates.

3. Researches customer problems and issues with other Schneider Electric departments including engineering, quality assurance and product marketing.

4. Provides pre-sales technical support to Schneider Electric sales forces, distributors, and marketing communication groups in terms of presentations, product demonstrations and trade shows.

5. Reviews technical manuals and bulletins for accuracy and content and provides feedback to Marketing of any updates or corrections.

6. Writes and publishes technical applications notes, industry papers and customer support documentation.

7. Travels to off-site customer locations and trade shows as required on a regular basis (approximately 40% - 60%).

8. Provides application assistance for extended projects/programs to customers, channel partners and/or sales in terms of competitive product conversion, and proof of concept application development

9. Works with or without sales to assist channel partners in pre and post sales efforts including but not limited to: product configuration, pricing, proposal writing, and occasionally assisting in order expedites, returns, and order status requests.

10. Makes recommendations to Sales manager and channel partner management on addition channel partner training and support needs.

11. Assists sales force in channel partner reviews and planning.

12. Develop technical and commercial market knowledge to effectively demonstrate, differentiate and articulate value and our marketing initiative messaging.

13. Provide documented status of conversions, customers, and assignments via the opportunity pipeline, trip reports, expense reports, and customer database.

14. Industry 4.0 promotion and Digital advisory offer promotion and willing to continuously update software knowledge and latest trends in Industry.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering or Electronics engineering with emphasis on control systems, software engineering or computer science.

• HMI programming and troubleshooting experience

• Good understanding of communication protocols and interfaces such as Modbus, Profibus , Ethernet...

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented, self-motivated, and results driven

• Willingness to travel

• HMI , PLC and drive configuration experience, including hands on experience in EU/OEM projects

• Experience with industry standard communication protocols such as Modbus, Modbus TCP, BACnet...

• Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply applicable industry standards, such as UL, ISO, IEEE, and other requirements as needed

• Knowledgeable in computer programming languages (VB, C#, C++, Java script), HTML development

• Experience with integrating devices from multiple vendors into packaged solution. (system integration)

• Programming experience with Schneider / Modicon PLCs,

• Knowledge or relevant experience in Industry 4.0 and cloud connectivity.
