JOB DESCRIPTION

Be part of the NOV Fiberglass Systems team as a Drafter at our Conroe, Tx facility! As a Drafter, you play a crucial role in creating, updating, and maintaining drawings while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.



PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Engineering to generate drawings for the development of new tooling and equipment or to upgrade existing equipment
• Work with Engineering and Product Development to create or maintain and revise product drawings as necessary
• Maintain drawing files in an organized manner
• Wear appropriate PPE when in required areas
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or control; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Travel less than 10%

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
• This is a DAY SHIFT positions are routinely scheduled Monday through Friday.
• Experience in the drafting field preferred; Formal training in drafting or design may be substituted for experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Basic math and writing skills
• Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
• Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operations
