This position reports to

Procurement & Logistics Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: #L-onsite This role is contributing to the ELECTRIFICATION Team and Stakeholders You will be mainly accountable for: • Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. • Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets. Ensures that team members acquire, maintain, and improve purchasing operations skills through training and experience. • Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability. Ensures the Ariba platform is updated with the current suppliers for IM&S. • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers under his/her threshold scope and T&C under ABB standards. • Supports the Team Leader of IM&S with the operation buyers to solve daily operations constraints in Past Due invoices, error in the systems to continue with the P2P process (purchasing process). • Provide support to Q&CI to investigate problems, finds root causes, and recommends improvement to existing and planned procurement process (GB, Ariba, SAP).Tracks the procurement processes and activities and creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards. • Tracks internal and supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),quality issues, and implements related development actions. Together with the Q&CI. Ensures effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect purchasing
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge and management of SAP. SAP Ariba management as an asset.
  • Experience working in international environments and managing stakeholders at all levels. Customer oriented skills focused in attend and solve customer's inquiries, able to solve issues and critical situations
  • Advanced English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ensures that team members acquire, maintain, and improve purchasing operations skills through training and experience
