Based in Stavanger, Norway, you will function as a general resource person within product development programs on flow measurement technologies.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Function as the product development's professional resource person within issues regarding the specialized field: microwave measurement, multiphase flow, impedance measurement / tomography.
• Develop methods and algorithms for flow measurement products
• Develop and qualify new products for Emerson portfolio
• Support other parts of the organization with advanced technical support when needed: e.g. service, sales, production and manufacturing & engineering
• Act as a resource for Project Manager and Department Managers in evaluating risks, timelines and challenges in projects

WHO YOU ARE:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in physics, electromagnetics , electronics or another relevant field. Strong theoretical skills within one or several of the fields: electromagnetics, physics and measurement of multiphase flow
• 5-10 years of post-qualification experience or equivalent business experience is a differentiator
• Ideally experience from technology and product development or industrial research, preferably from the oil & gas industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• Industrial experience with microwave measurements, waveguides, resonance cavity
• Experience from using simulation tools like Matlab, Comsol or HFSS
• Analytical, structured, thorough, committed, self-driven and proactive
• Some experience with software engineering
• Good communication, presentation and documentation skills
