MAINTENANCEPRIMARY PURPOSE:
Maintain, repair and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment as directed by the M.E.P. Supervisor in order to maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of HVAC systems in district facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED
EPA certified
State certificate of registration
Master HVAC State License (Preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to maintain valid Texas driver's license
Ability to communicate in English
Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
Ability to use special tools and equipment
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
Knowledge of sequence of operation of hot and chill water systems and control
Knowledge of low pressure boilers and pumps
Able to read extensive wiring diagrams
Knowledge of basic techniques of hand tools, power tools and meters
Knowledge of basic computer skills
Knowledge of City and National Codes

Experience:
Five+ years HVAC field service

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Work involves assemble and repair of Major HVAC equipment and constant concentration is mandatory.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting 20-80 lbs.; work outside and inside; work on ladders and/or scaffolding; work on slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces.
