Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Implementation and Case Study Development:
   
   • Translating client challenges into actionable problem statements, including mathematical modelling.
   • Conducting portfolio analysis and creating code-based solutions (primarily in Python) for problem-solving.
   • Solving complex problems for clients and prospects
   • Detailed data analysis, including ERP, CRM, and billing systems, which informs integration strategies for the client's systems.
   • Working on complex data problems, using mathematical modelling and data science including optimisation ones, or more generally creating and applying machine learning models using Python libraries like regressions, scikitlearn, neural networks and pandas.
   • Energy consulting services
2. Client Interaction and Service:
   
   • End-to-end management of client onboarding, from advisory and technical support to managing the flow of communication.
   • Explaining complex technical concepts in clear, non-technical terms for clients, which is essential for building trust and understanding.
3. Team Management:
   
   • Leading a small team of two, including recruitment and training as the team grows.
   • Prioritizing and organizing the team backlog for efficient task execution and scalability.
4. Internal Process Improvement:
   
   • Identifying areas for automation and scalability within workflows, which includes both internal tooling and client deliverables.
5. Sales Support:
   
   • Collaborating in sales by tailoring demo case studies, asking probing questions, and running workshops to ensure the client's needs align with services offered.
6. Technical customer success and post-sales support and triaging of technical issues and problem solving

Desirable Experience:

• Startup or remote work experience, which would support adaptability and independent project management.
• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, like the GHG Protocol
• Quantitive/Statistical background
• Energy Consulting experience
• Banking experience where you have worked on data analysis and extensive excel modelling
• Previous Energy desk experience

Qualifications

Your background:

• Core Competencies:
  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Python (with VBA or R as a plus), and expertise in Excel for data manipulation and modelling.
  • Clear communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge:
  
  • Experience or interest in energy and trading sectors, crucial for context in portfolio analysis and system integration work.
• Project Management:
  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse set of projects and client interactions, all within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• 5-6 years of experience in SaaS solutions engineering or energy advisory or data-science background
• Client facing ability - you can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong educational background in Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics, and are comfortable with mathematical modelling.
• You're proficient in Python and R, and ready to dive into complex integrations and technical challenges.
• Energy Consulting experience
• Banking experience where you have worked on data analysis and extensive excel modelling
• Previous Energy desk experience
• You could also come from the financial sector working as a Quant Analyst or as a Data Scientist
