Essential skills and knowledge

• Engineering Degree with 8+ years of experience.

Functional Competencies

• Knowledge of electrical distribution networks;
• Experience of engineering team management;
• Project management/planning;
• Version control (design docs, etc);
• Modern embedded electronics systems development;
• Knowledge of international standards;
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel & Project.

Desirable Competencies

• Experience in a range of technologies including digital, analog, and power electronics;
• Knowledge of comms protocols IEC 60870-101/103/104 and DNP 3.0 particularly those used within the sector;
• Knowledge of design tools, CAE/CAD, software dev tools, etc;
• Telecomms and networking;
• Accounting practice;
• Knowledge of common business practices/structures.
