Advisor, Drilling & Completions - Permian

Summary of Position:
This position is accountable to develop and implement advanced engineering solutions and plans for the drilling and completions team that are aligned with the strategy and outcomes set for the department. This individual should be able to oversee drilling and completions operations and all associated planning, engineering and operations duties. The Advisor will maintain project management control over vendors, equipment, supplies and manpower to drilling operations on time and on budget. This individual in this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Subsurface Team, field superintendents, and other internal and external experts to provide engineering recommendation for the drilling, completions and workovers operations in their assigned area. This role will assist in leading the Company's environmental, health, safety and regulatory compliance (EHS&RC) efforts and is expected to work very closely with EHS&RC team and individuals in every aspect of the Operations. The person in this role is expected to have developing leadership skills & very strong communication and decision making skills.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to plan, organize and coordinate drilling rig and completion operations based on company development schedule
- Provide feedback and input into planning process and other functional team to optimize drilling and development plans and growth objectives.
- Implement best practices in the drilling and completions operations and monitor the daily progress of drilling and completions operations. Prepare documentation and reports as required including costs.
- Work with, coordinate and/or supervise contactors and vendors to develop and administer drilling and completions service contracts
- Track field estimate and actual costs versus approved budget, and provide support to capital accrual, reserves, and budgeting processes. Work to improve and optimize cost structure proactively.
- Perform lookback on completed projects (both drilling and completions) to evaluate Capital Spend and Production / Performance vs Plan
- Obtain relevant drilling and completions data, analyze and make recommends as necessary to improve operations on both drilling and completions
- Assist in the supervision of critical drilling or completions operations carried out by Company's and Contractor's personnel at job site as necessary.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or in engineering, e.g., petroleum or related field or expected equivalent in experience required. Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in drilling and completion engineering and operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, leveraging advanced tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
- Proven experience with economics and detailed technical analysis required.
- Possesses valuable knowledge in other oil and gas business functions (Production, Reserves, Accounting, Geoscience, Regulatory, Land Operations, etc.), further enhancing cross-functional collaboration and understanding.
Travel & Additional Requirements:
- Work Location: Work is performed at a CIVI location Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays as business needs allow and with manager approval.
- Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
- Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, heat, etc. - work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions throughout the year.
