Job Title: Project Manager – Civil Works (Sizewell C)
Location: London & Suffolk (Hybrid Working)
Contract Rate: £500 – £700 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Type: Contract – Long Term

Overview:

We are currently recruiting three experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of the Civil Works Programme for the landmark Sizewell C nuclear power station. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s largest and most technically ambitious infrastructure projects, contributing to a low-carbon future.

About the Project:

Sizewell C is a next-generation nuclear power plant, following on from the Hinkley Point C programme. Backed by the UK Government and major industry stakeholders, the project will provide reliable and sustainable energy to millions of homes. The Civil Works Programme includes enabling works, marine and tunnelling infrastructure, and major civil engineering for over 70 buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of civil engineering works valued up to £50 million.

  • Manage internal and external interfaces across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including the supply chain, Responsible Designer (RD), and SZC quality teams.

  • Drive the successful execution of design replication strategies from Hinkley Point C.

  • Oversee procurement strategies, technical contracts, and ensure alignment with project milestones.

  • Ensure delivery to scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the project execution plan.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, ideally in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.

  • Strong background in civil engineering, construction or project delivery.

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Construction, or similar).

  • Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable.

  • Demonstrable experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and large contracts.

  • Understanding of UK infrastructure project environments, interface management, and regulatory compliance.
