The Project Manager collaborates directly with Business Sponsors, Business Leads, and cross-functional teams to drive governance, reporting, optimization, and change management activities across multiple complex projects.

Position Summary
The Project Manager III is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned initiatives within our Initiative & Change Management (ICM) organization. This role oversees the development of project charters, project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution from conception to delivery of business outcomes. The Project Manager collaborates directly with Business Sponsors, Business Leads, and cross-functional teams to drive governance, reporting, optimization, and change management activities across multiple complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Governance
- Develop program and project charters, including scope, schedule, budget, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Ensure governance is maintained, including biweekly and monthly reporting on schedule, risks, and performance.
- Coordinate execution across project teams, ensuring interdependencies are identified and managed.
- Act as primary contact for all project-related activities.
- Work closely with Business Sponsors, Executive Sponsors, and Project Business Leads.
- Facilitate communication across business units and support stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to business process optimization in harmonizing processes, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.
- Support development of business cases, current/future state analysis, and system implementation requirements.
- Ensure change impacts are evaluated and proper change management plans are implemented.
- Develop detailed master project schedules and coordinate resources to meet deliverables.
- Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality and accuracy of project documentation.
- Support special projects as Project Manager or Business Analyst as needed.
Scope & Dimensions
- Responsible for the successful delivery of ICM projects impacting large segments of the organization, including safety, efficiency, and operational improvements.
- Expected to challenge conventional approaches and propose innovative solutions across Gas Transmission & Midstream Operations.
Qualifications
Required
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- 7–10 years of project management experience within oil & gas.
- Strong business process optimization background.
- Experience supporting field operations projects.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, MS Project) and MS Visio.
- Ability to distill technical information and communicate it clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- PMP or PBA certification.
- Six Sigma certification.
- PROSCI Change Management certification.
- Internal audit experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must have strong change management exposure and superior soft skills.
- No driving or travel typically required (unless assigned to special projects).
- Must be able to sit for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
