Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing material inventory to ensure efficient production processes. You will analyze demand forecasts, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate with various departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing costs. The work model for the role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation. • Calculating and maintaining the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in the planning systems and the ERPs. • Coordinating material planning with call-offs to ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations buyers and services. • Collaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility. Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
