As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical components and equipment for our client in the oil and gas industry.
Role Overview
- Estimate workload and establish completion dates for maintenance tasks.
- Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for maintenance projects.
- Actively participate in on-the-job safety protocols and review job packs.
- Identify and address any safety issues before beginning work.
- Execute work as planned and record technical history as required.
- Provide feedback on job pack improvements to supervisor.
- Request permits and notify supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Relevant certification or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
