Are you ready to join our team as a Mechanical Technician II? As a Contract Full-Time employee, you will have the opportunity to work in the beautiful city of Carlsbad, New Mexico for a leading company in the oil and gas industry.

Role Overview

• Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for maintenance work.
• Actively participate in the use of on-the-job safety tools.
• Review job packs and identify any safety issues before beginning work.
• Execute work as planned and record technical history as required.
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to supervisors.
• Request permits and notify supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems and P&ID's.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Optional requirement: Experience with Cat 3600, 3500, or Ariel Compressor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work well with others.
• Adaptability to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.

Education & Experience

• Required: Relevant certification or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mechanical maintenance or related field.
