Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 4D Planning and Sequencing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Sizewell C team. Reporting to our SZC 4D Lead, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of 4D planning and sequencing processes, tools, and technologies. They will be responsible for leading and implementing 4D planning initiatives across various projects. This role demands proficiency in 4D planning software, exceptional leadership abilities, and strong collaboration skills with diverse project teams. The position also requires the flexibility to travel and be on-site 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead 4D Planning and Sequencing- Oversee the development and implementation of 4D planning and sequencing processes. Ensure the integration of time-related data with 3D models to create accurate project timelines.
• Perform Monthly Updates- Oversee the monthly update of the 4D model in Synchro to align with the updated federated model and Integrated Work Schedule (IWS).
• Develop 4D Outputs- Create 4D animations, time slices, and dashboard outputs to visualize project progress and plans.
• Identify and Report Missing Elements- Review and identify missing elements from the models and schedules, and report these to the respective internal and external teams. Collaborate with the client, planning team, and design teams to resolve and close off the missing items.
• Monthly Reviews- Lead the monthly 4D/Sequence reviews and address any comments or actions raised during these sessions.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting- Monitor and report on baseline, actual versus planned progress, ensuring accurate tracking of project timelines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration- Work closely with the Sizewell C planning team and key stakeholders to ensure efficient workflows and processes between all parties.
• Develop Efficient Workflows- Design and implement efficient workflows to streamline 4D planning and sequencing processes, enhancing overall project efficiency.
• Maintain Assumptions Register- Keep the assumptions register up to date, ensuring that all 4D outputs are based on accurate and current assumptions.
• Quality Assurance- Ensure the quality and accuracy of the 4D models through rigorous quality assurance processes.
• Ad-Hoc 4D Tasks- Undertake ad-hoc 4D tasks for specific sprints and provide direct client support on site delivery.
• Support Project Planning and Site Delivery Teams- Provide ongoing support to project planning and Sizewell C site delivery teams to ensure the successful implementation of 4D planning and sequencing. Address any technical issues that arise on-site and provide timely solutions.
• Experience in 4D HPC Team- Previous experience working in a 4D HPC team is preferred, as it allows for the transfer of valuable lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in 4D planning and sequencing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in 4D planning software (e.g., Synchro 4D Pro, Navisworks, Primavera 6) and other relevant tools.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management or 4D planning are advantageous.
