Liquefaction Control Room Operator (CRO)
NES Fircroft is currently seeking an experienced Liquefaction Control Room Operator (CRO) for an exciting FLNG project.

Initially the incumbent will be based in Oslo, Norway in the offices of the FLNG Project Management team, as an integral member of the Pre-Operations team. During this initial phase they will manage/coordinate/prepare the operations procedures for the liquefaction plant and associated process support systems. As the Project develops, the position will be transferred to the shipyard in Korea to provide input and establish the routines and facilities onboard. During the Commissioning phase at the shipyard the position will become rotational as a back-to-back incumbents will be hired.

At vessel sail away, the position will be fully based onboard the FLNG as a Liquefaction Control Room operator reporting to the Liquefaction Supervisor.
  ROLE & OBJECTIVE
  • The Liquefaction CRO is responsible for the day-to-day production of LNG & shall control the process within the given parameters to achieve the production targets, whilst minimizing environmental emissions and optimising energy.
  • They shall be responsible for always maintaining the production logs & status of the permits and isolations.
  • They are responsible and shall report to the FLNG Pre-Operations Manager in the initial Phase before transferring to the offshore vessel management team where they report to the Liquefaction Supervisor.
  RESPONSIBILITIES DURING PRE-OPERATIONS PHASE
  • To provide Operations input to
    • the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) design.
    • Operator Training System (OTS) design.
  • To prepare the Liquefaction SOP’s
  • To input and test Operator Training System
  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Technical education with documented process training.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a senior operator within an LNG production control room.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in Projects during the Commissioning and Start Up phase would be an advantage.
  • Previous offshore experience would be an advantage.
